Program Information

• 9th grade: Health Science 1, A&P (Martinez)
• 10th grade: Health Science 2 (Martinez)
• 11th grade: Emergency Medical Responder 3 (Muhlerwirth)
• 12th grade: EKG Tech 4 (Muhlerwirth)
• Industry Certifications: Testing begins in the 10th grade
• Certifications Offered: AHA HCP CPR, EMR, EMT*, CMAA, EKG-T, CPCT*
• Program Requirements: Uniforms, Drug Screening, Background Check, Clinicals

Program Details

• Coursework: HS-1 (A&P), HS-2, EMR-3 & EKG-4 (students are not allowed to "double-up")
• Clinical Hour Requirements: 75 hrs for 3rd & 4th year (in the past, IB has accepted these hours)
• Certifications Offered: AHA CPR ($12 2nd year), EMR, CMAA EKG-Tech & EKG- Aide (IB Only), CPCT. (Possibly EMT in the near future)
• Uniforms: Scrubs for 1st and 2nd year ($24 student cost); Pants and Polo 3rd & 4th year ($48 student cost)
• Drug Test and Background Check: Drug Test ($25 student cost); Background check (District pays for) required for 3rd  & 4th yr. (per District for clinical hour requirement)
• Medical academy diploma after 3rd year
• Graduation Sash for completing 4th year
